Dan is a world renowned expert and authority in the field of Breathwork. Since 1976, he has personally trained more than 150,000 people in 60 countries, to use conscious breathing for personal growth, self-healing, peak performance and spiritual development.
Dan has trained Navy Seals and Olympic athletes, leading medical doctors and psychotherapists, corporate executives, peak performers, school teachers, first responders, and martial artists. He is Tony Robbins’ Personal Breathwork Coach.
He is a master of Prana Yoga (the Hindu Science of Breath) and Chi Kung/Qigong (Chinese Medical Breathing Exercises). He is one of the creators of Breath Therapy and he leads the worldwide Spiritual Breathing Movement.
Dan studied and travelled extensively with Leonard Orr, the founder of the "Rebirthing" movement. He was personally initiated into Kriya Yoga and given the name Guchu Ram Singh by Babaji the Immortal Guru (written about in Pramahansa Yogananda’s classic book: “Autobiography of a Yogi”). He learned Qigong with the legendary Master Hu Bin, at the Academy of Chinese Medicine in Beijing.
He learned prana yoga from Swami Rama, and did biofeedback training at the Himalayan Institute. He studied Breathing Coordination with Carl Stough at the Stough Institute; and he learned Holotropic Breathwork from the founder Stan Grof.
In Russia alone, Dan has done breathing training with over 30,000 people, including more than 1000 medical doctors, psychiatrists and psychologists. He took part in a ten-year breathing study with members of the Russian Academy of Science. And he worked with Olympic world champion Greco-roman wrestler Alexander Karelin, as well as members of the Russian judo, triathlon, tennis, and sailing teams.
Dan’s home base is in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. With a small group of founders and visionaries, he has developed an intentional community; and is building a teaching & learning center and resort retreat.

The Breath Circle is a personal journey of healing, recovery and illumination.
